あらすじ
When 26-year-old Bellamy Ntuli dies during a network outage in the Ardenmoor General emergency department, interim medical director Dr. Ravenna "Ven" Sotiriou becomes the named subject of a sentinel-event investigation led by Wilhelmina "Mina" Achterberg — the woman she slept with, anonymously, six weeks earlier. As Mina digs, the evidence stops pointing at Ven's judgment and starts pointing at Sightline, a quietly installed triage-staffing algorithm the hospital's new corporate owner has every reason to bury. Their affair is the one thing that can discredit them both, and the only thing keeping either of them upright while the people who wrote the algorithm decide which of them to burn.
