Synopsis
Izara Amestoy has spent seven years holding the Ferrywell — a pile-and-plank dance pavilion on the water at Ondine Bay — together with epoxy and stubbornness, and one November storm undoes all of it. A televised heritage grant offers a full restoration, but only to engaged couples, so when Emrys Quennell steps off the early ferry the same afternoon, Izara offers her ex the worst deal of both their lives: six weeks of fake devotion, filmed. Between the show's honest architect who falls for her for real, a rival contestant with a jeweler's receipt, and a lien release that proves Emrys never left her for the reason she believed, Izara has to decide whether she wants the building saved or the truth told — and learn, too late for a script, that she cannot have one without the other.
