Synopsis
Iolanthe "Yola" Vetterli arrives at The Ostrander with a ninety-day mandate, a signed conduct rider that makes one HR complaint career-ending, and no idea her employer already intends to gut the building. Ottoline "Otto" Sarkis-Reyes has run the hotel's nights for six years and has been quietly giving away forty rooms a night under a ledger nobody's opened since 1927. What starts as a rule — nothing after 2 a.m. counts — becomes a secret relationship conducted in stairwells, out-of-order rooms and blind spots, until the same paper trail that could destroy them turns out to be the only thing that can save the hotel.
